Scott Mikesh is an award-winning LGBTBE® certified business leader, communicator, brain health specialist, and one of the notable pioneers of the Mental Fitness Movement in the U.S.

After twenty years of experience in applied psychology — leading health and wellness, mentoring, marketing and communications, creative arts, and diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives Scott founded 4D Fit Mental Fitness to proactively promote practices that support mental health, motivation, and achievement from the inside-out.

In 2021, Scott published his first book titled MY BRAIN CAN’T POOP: A mental fitness guide for humans to promote the critical importance of understanding brain health, mental function, and neurodiversity as fundamental factors of mental health and well-being to optimize and thrive in life.

In 2023, Scott also launched a 501(c)3 charitable partner program called MentalFitness4All to provide reduced-cost training sessions for income-eligible individuals and organizations.

It was only after I began learning about brain health when I finally shed the shame of my own anxiety, to understand it not as a matter of being ‘broken’ or lacking confidence or willpower – but as a neurochemical need that must be addressed in my health and fitness practices to optimize my nervous system and mental function. I truly believe when we dismiss or deny the function of the brain, we prolong the cycle of dysfunction and pain.
